Roy in UK wrote on Friday, January 23, 2015 (PST):Hi Dan, if you look on "Youtube" and do a search you can see examples of them 'working', actually I don't think they were very good, for one thing because of the side mounted design is meant that by definition the pick-up was not very wide and for another thing, when you were baling you did not get a good view of the pick up as the material was been fed in ... and just think if the wind was in the 'wrong' direction, oh the dust! Still it is interesting to see how things were developed. Ferguson also tried to develop a side mounted combine which I am given to understand, never worked.
